More time to catch some Zzz's!
How many of you are tired everyday and wanna fall asleep in class? Well me too sometimes. And when you are tired and have a test what usually happens is that you flunck a test. I think the students should get more time to sleep after a long night of homework. I belive the more sleep you have the better test grades you get. If you agree with me post a coment! :D

If you get tired during school you should get more sleep at night. Go to bed earlier or something.

yeah but now american idol is on who would want to go to bed at 7:30 thats a time for elimentry schoolers not middle and high schoolers.

The interesting thing is when we design and architect a server or a server host , we don't design it for Windows or Linux, we design it for both. We don't really care, as long as we're selling the one the customer wants. The technologies we use now a days are a combination of Linux Xen, KVM and Microsoft Hyper-V. This is almost a lost cause because it's been brought up to the Board many times before and a few years back the parents got involved to really press the idea of later start time, but they cast the matter away because of budget. I do agree that high school should start later because it is a most critical time in school when students have to prepare for college and lack of sleep can really appear on test scores. Also it can be impossible to go to bed early because of activities that end later for older kids. I think the high school and middle school times should switch because it would make it so older children could get home in time to watch younger siblings in elementary school if necessary. Also school would only end 30 min later, so students could probably still be on time for after school jobs and activities. This would ensure no budget change in th bus schedule as well.
So?
I know this is almost a lost cause but we can still try can't we? but i think switching elementary and high school/middle school times woud be better that way we can get more sleep i'd rather get out later than go in early.

it's still really difficult to balance sports and homework and chores. some people need to get more sleep then others so getting up later can help with energy levels and attention spand. it would make some peoples lives so much easier.

Actually there have been studies that show kids don't learn as well or retain much information in their first few classes of school because they really need to either wake up later or have more time in the morning to adjust so maybe the first few classes should be something different, i just got everyone a tempurpedic in my home and were all sleeping better.

it's a difficult situation because, the earlier we start, the earlier we get out and more time for home work. But with all the homework we have( and clubs and extracurriculars) there still isn't enough time for some people.

I definetly agree. I'm a very busy person. Between school, clubs, sports and social life I barely have enough time to sleep. Everyone knoows sleep is very important. It helps simulate a healthy body and mind. We need all the sleep we can get. It is a proven fact that teenagers need at least 10 hours of sleep every night to get their minds thinking activly.

usually i'm really tired at school since my cats keep me up at night begging for food so it would be great to have a break from schoolwork for a little bit or at least cut down on homework

If we start earier we have more time to do school work and do other things.
Umm WELL....
IF we change the times then the bus schedual would have to be changed, therefore the BOE would have to spend unessicary money. Also if your tired ( i know i am) then try like going to bed early or (i know that you've heard it a bunch) eat breakfast it really helps, its the most inportant meal of the day.
