Spring Break

i think that spring break is 2 short, they use the weekend as part of are break!!! not fair!! :eusashifty: We should hav a longer spring break.

Week long Spring Break

I disagree.

I dont believe we should have a "vacation" everytime the season changes. True, we may need a break from school, seeing as how we haven't had one in a while, but not one more than a week. I think Two Weeks (or more) is a vacation.

I don't think that we should take days from the Thanksgiving Break. Having more than a week provides an chance for a family vacation...

If we took days from Thanksgiving Break and gave those days to Spring Break, there would be no time for a vacation that's out of the country during either break! I know that in my family, we like to go on week-long vacations. Who wants to drive nine hours to Myrtle Beach with your annoying little siblings in the car only to return two or three days later? You wouldn't even have enough time for a tan! :wink:

Well extending spring break might be possible. If you notice that some schools have longer spring breaks than others. It's because of our Thanksgiving break. the number of days we have for spring break are determined by the number of days we use for Thanksgiving break. I feel that Thanksgiving break is unnessecary because after a couple of weeks back in school we're off for Christmas.

and Aria, if you take 3 days off of thanksgiving and give them to spring break, it is like switching them. You get two days off in thanksgiving, and 5 or 6 in spring. That is an equal amount of time for breaks and opportunities for family vacations, it is just at a better time. Would'nt you rather go to the beach in april than in november? And wouldn't you also rather get a real spring break than thanksgiving when christmas break is only a month later!

Actually, I agree with you, Sage. Now I see that it would be more reasonable to have more time inbetween breaks.

the reason Thankgiving break is so long is because... well just that-
IT'S THANKGIVING!

Where families go to other states to visit families and stuff themselves with food (tofukey or turkey, whatever floats your boat

Yeah, I'd like a longer spring (and my elementary school 2 week break) but I don't want to take it out on Thanksgiving
